We are pleased to announce that our new PIM (Product Information Management) system will be implemented in September 2009.  PIM will bring significant benefits to the item lifecycle management via automated workflow, ability to capture additional item attributes, increased controls and business rules to ensure data accuracy and item integrity.  We are excited to share this news with you and ask for your partnership in making our PIM initiative successful! 

As a result of this implementation, we are asking that our suppliers provide additional item information.  These additional data elements are highlighted on the new item form and many have specific values to select via drop down boxes. The form can be found below.

Along with the form, you will find Standard Operating Procedures that explain every attribute on the form in detail and specifies the data element we are looking for. 

To help you quickly identify the changes, we highlighted the new fields in blue, renamed fields in purple, and bolded all mandatory fields on the new item form. 

You should begin using the form effective September 21, 2009, for all new items and item maintenance.  Any old forms submitted after that date will be returned to you to complete the new form. If you have any questions regarding the new form, please contact your Category Manager or Category Item Associate.   As always, we appreciate your openness and willingness to embrace change with us!
